2012 Year of the Dragon

The Dragon ? 2012

According to the Chinese zodiac, on January 23rd, 2012 we enter the Year of the Dragon.

The only mythical animal in the Zodiac, the Dragon is considered to be a noble, benevolent and powerful creature. A symbol of supreme authority, good fortune, enthusiasm, life, growth, health, and vitality, it also exhibits flamboyancy and has a tendency not to follow the rules.

The 2012 Year of the Dragon is predicted to be a year of big spending and lavish plans as the bold Dragon flaunts prudence, penny-pinching, and down-to-earth caution in favor of all-or-nothing exuberant gambles.

Traditionally associated with new beginnings, new ventures and good fortune, the year of the Dragon's entrepreneurial spirit and energy is thought to ensure success as he showers blessings indiscriminately on all. Nobody seems to notice if things are portrayed in a more magnified representation of reality, since the Dragon Year reflects charismatic confidence. But what you say and how you say it can have a great impact on your overall well-being this year, as things come back to you in an equally powerful way!

The Dragon Year's spectacular highs are also linked to brutal lows, as fortunes and disasters alike can come crashing in massive unpredictable waves. One might be well-served to strategically lose battles in order to win a war, and to be cautious about proclaiming victories, lest they, too, turn into a puff of smoke; it's not surprising that the Dragon disappears when the time comes to make retributions for errors.

Business Predictions for 2012:

"Big picture" and "outside the box" ideas will be required for global crisis solutions. Tempers may flare all over the world resulting in real or imaginary revolts against constrictions. The mighty Dragon may lick his wounds in despair and emerge less innocent: countries may distance themselves from each other and businesses may split into factions until some semblance of recovery is re-established.

While major breakthroughs in transportation technology will stimulate the travel and hospitality industries, and the real estate industry will be stimulated by attractive investment prospects for new project development, the undulating highs and lows of the Dragon's tail will an up and down effect the IT industry.

People born in the Year of the Dragon (1904, 1916, 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012) are said to be energetic, enthusiastic, honest, brave, strong, influential, vital, sincere, outspoken, spirited, loyal, passionate in everything they do, and to enjoy challenges. But they can also be demanding, impetuous, eccentric, whimsical, tenacious, egotistical, unreasonable and at times can appear arrogant as they seldom mince their words. One thing to watch out for is their quick, fierce temper flare-ups and a sharp, sarcastic tongue. The Dragon, however, will usually make an equally quick recovery from their fiery outbursts.

Dragon people excel as presidents, prime ministers, lawyers, film producers, photojournalists, artists, film stars, war correspondents, architects, astronauts, brokers, engineers, computer analysts, advertising agents, inventors, managing directors, managers, advertising executives and salespersons.
