During her career, she has designed and facilitated hundreds of training and team building events ranging from one-half day to two weeks, including training and team building with bi-cultural and multi-cultural teams, and ongoing organizational change projects including data gathering, diagnosis, and implementation

In 1994/95, she co-designed, produced training materials, and prepared leaders and facilitators to implement an organizational culture-change intervention for AT&T Network Systems. In 1989 and 1990 Dr. Kelley was a trainer and facilitator for the AT&T Consumer Products Common Learning Experience. The 1989 program put approximately 3,500 managers through a five-day management training over a period of 36 weeks. Training themes included: the company's core values; leadership, including feedback, communication and coaching; quality techniques and tools; vision; and basic team skills.

Specific generic problem areas were used to practice the quality tools. The 1990 program put the same managers through a training with their intact work groups. The training focused on teamwork; awareness of team process; coaching; and feedback skills. She has authored a number of works in the field, including Assertion Training: A Facilitator's Guide, and the Cross-Cultural Adaptability Inventory. Trained in a variety of personal and professional development areas, she is equally comfortable in presenting information and facilitating group interaction. As a senior external staff member of University Associates Human Relations Publishers and Consultants from 1974 to 1982, she co-designed and facilitated training of trainers in UA's public workshops in the areas of training design and implementation, facilitation style, team building, and organization development.

She has worked with organizations around the world including the United States, Japan, Australia, Mexico, Sweden, Venezuela, France and Canada. She has taught for Purdue and Pepperdine Universities and studied for two years in France on a Fulbright Grant. She holds degrees in Modern Languages (B.A.), French Language and Literature/ Educational Psychology (M.A.), Human Resource Development (M.H.R.D.) and Professional Psychology (Ph.D.).
